Interview Preparation

In advance of interviewing any candidate, the interviewer should always find the necessary time to read through and become familiar with the candidate’s CV (ideally the day before). You would expect the candidate to speak with confidence about their employment history, skills, experience and strengths so it would also be expected that that you would have prepared some challenging and relevant questions from them to answer.

Although you are the one hiring and responsible making the final decision, remember that the candidate is also making judgements about yourself and the company. They too will also make assumptions on first impressions; after all, a successful appointment must be right for both parties in order form them to work together.
